Working with BondTM on 10 Years of Success

We’ve been working with BondTM to help mark their 10 years in business. When Will Faimatea started Bond in 2006, it created an entirely new sector and was the first to offer yachts consultancy services focussed specifically on AV, IT and communications – increasingly key aspects of the ownership experience. Having worked on three of the world’s largest yachts (Azzam, Eclipse and Dilbar) Bond has developed strong relationships with many of the industry’s leading figures.

‘Experience the Difference’

Working with Will and his senior team, we developed the concept and language ‘Experience the Difference’ as a core message for the campaign. To support the idea that Bond’s experience is what makes the difference, we researched, planned and launched a thought-leadership campaign that helps reinforce Bond’s market position and clearly differentiates them from potential competitors. The first in a series of conversations with influential superyacht thought leaders is owner, Mr. Joe Lewis.

Animating 10 Years of Success

We designed and developed a short animated film to tell the story of Bond’s 10 years and designed logo assets to support the message.

New McMullen & Wing brochures and sales tool

In time for CEO Michael Eaglen’s sales roadshow this spring, we designed a compendium of brochures that would evoke the Kiwi shipyard McMullen & Wing’s identity as a builder of capable yachts. Together, four brochures work as a sales tool for brokers: The corporate brochure includes a photographic story on the New Zealand superyacht experience, and the three individual design books each feature a yacht concept specifically designed for McMullen&Wing by the leading studios H2 Design, Vripack and Greg Marshall Design. We’ll post a full project case study here soon, but for now, have a peek at what we’ve come up with.

Amazing people doing amazing things

This week we delivered a custom publishing project for Blohm + Voss. Challenging traditional notions of superyacht brand marketing, the journal focuses on incredible people working in a range of diverse fields, all of whom share the values of Blohm + Voss and their pursuit of perfection. Blohm + Voss Sales and Marketing Director, Patrick Coote, launched the new publication at an event in Monaco on 1 September. Full project case study coming soon.

A classic refined

We have been working with Hodgdon Yachts over the past 12 months to help them refresh their brand identity. A fifth-generation family firm, Hodgdon are widely recognised for the quality of their craftsmanship and their innovative construction technology. The brief for the identity refresh was very much geared towards evolution, in order to provide a more contemporary look and feel whilst respecting the brand’s remarkable heritage as they approach their 200th year. The new identity is now being rolled out ahead of the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show. View our case study here.

ISA Yachts rebrand launch

After two months of intense work, this week saw the launch of the new brand identity that we’ve created for ISA Yachts. Appointed in January, we’ve worked closely with senior management in Ancona to build a new platform on which the company can tell the story of its success and position itself for further growth. Our work involved developing a new brand strategy, using this strategy to create a visual identity which included evolving the logotype, and producing a corporate brochure and innovative iPad app. ISA Yachts will be rolling the new brand out over the coming weeks and we’ll share more details soon.

Heesen Yachts is a real page turner

We recently finalised the gorgeous 2013 Heesen Yachts annual. Bespoke in design and content, we worked closely with the Heesen team to create a publication that both represents the style and craftsmanship that the brand stands for, and reflects the strength of Heesen’s partnerships and visual identity. The book was unveiled with a buzzing champagne reception at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

Always original in our approach to the annual, this year’s book is hardback with cloth binding using accent colours and design cues from the Heesen yacht of 2013 – the spectacular 65m Galactica Star, designed by Omega Architects with a Bannenberg & Rowell interior.

The book’s clear-foiled geometric front cover pattern is inspired by one of the boat’s stunning design features, the lower deck beach club, which boasts the same angular design on its ceiling. Inside the cover, the content is a showcase of spectacular photography, insightful editorial, and unique illustration.

Hola Barcelona!

We love Barcelona, and recently spent a fantastic week there shooting fashion and lifestyle for Marina Port Vell with photographer Olly Burn and stylist Hannah Rose. The images will be used in the forthcoming Superyacht Barcelona magazine.

The Superyacht Agency goes Wild

Wild Group International asked us to produce a short brand film documenting how they revolutionise the appearance of yachts by applying a vinyl wrap. We spent two days with the Wild team in Southampton capturing them at work.

Rabih Hage for Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour

Our Producer, Luke, was at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour this afternoon shooting portraits of prolific interior designer Rabih Hage. The images will be used in the first edition of The Design Centre Luxury Yacht Journal.
